TATE COUNTY, MS -

(WMC-TV) - A former Boy Scouts leader charged with sexual battery of a child was sentenced to prison Thursday without parole. William Todd Brewer was sentenced to 30 years for each count of sexual battery of a child under 14; there were a total of three counts.

He will serve his sentence concurrently, which means he will be out in 30 years.

Brewer plead guilty to the three counts in September. Investigators testified victims under 14 years old were given alcohol and pills, money, and gifts to perform sexual acts with Brewer at his Tate County home.

The lead detective said children reported occasionally feeling dizzy without remembering everything that happened. Investigators also said they recovered child pornography and pictures of the victims from Brewer's phone.

Brewer's defense attorney spent a lot of her time questioning the physical evidence in the case and the validity of the victim's stories.

Officials say none of the boys knew Brewer from the scouts where he was a former leader.

Brewer will receive credit for time served, which is about a year and a half.
