MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) - A Memphis man is asking for your help after his electronics and personal items were stolen while picking up his girlfriend from the hospital.

Willie Jefferson is hoping someone will recognize the man who came knocking on his door two weeks ago. Jefferson believes he is one of two men who stole all his valuables.

"I didn't know how they got in because I got bars put on most of my windows," stated Jefferson.

Jefferson had installed the bars and surveillance cameras after a previous attempted break-in at his home on Bodley Street.

On October 4th, the man who came knocking first went away. Then, he returned 10 minutes later with an accomplice.

While Jefferson was at the hospital picking up his girlfriend, his TV, electronics, jewelry, and personal information were stolen.

"She opened the door and she said, 'why is stuff all over the floor?' I said, 'Oh Lord, somebody done broke in," continued Jefferson.

Jefferson's girlfriend, Demetrice Porter, recalled what she saw.

"I was coming from the hospital...from having surgery and to walk into that, everything was everywhere, they went through everything," Porter said.

Jefferson looked around his house and found how they got in.

"(I) went back there to the back door and they had kicked the back door in," declared Jefferson.

The surveillance video shows the thieves jump a fence to access the back door.

While Jefferson did do what he could to make sure the crooks were caught on camera, now he wants to make sure they are really caught.

"You break in people's house's man. They can get out here and work and get their own stuff," Jefferson stated.

If you recognize the men in the video or know where they are, call Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH.
