Tigers fall short against Cincinnati

(WMC-TV) - Heading into it's fourth conference game of the season, the Memphis Tigers football team is still in search of it's first league win in the new AAC.

Tigers with a mid-week contest against former Ole Miss coach Tommy Tuberville and the Cincinnati Bearcats...the first meeting between the two schools since 2004.

Tigers get on the board first when Paxton Lynch finds Tevin Jones in the enzone. Lynch throwing 17-33 for 140 yards, 1 TD and 1INT.

But the Tiger defense couldn't slow down the Bearcat offense enough, allowing QB Brendon Kay to throw for 321 yards and a touchdown, while Cincinnati held Memphis to 232 yards of offense.

Cincinnati wins, 34-21, while Memphis falls to 1-6 overall, 0-4 in the AAC.

The Tigers next game is November 9th against UT-Martin.
