MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) - Get ready for the best of India to come to the Bluff City! The annual India Fest celebration will begin Saturday morning at the Agricenter and is expected to attract thousands of people.

The theme to this year's festival is Kingdom's of India.

"We want to bring the grandeur, the kingdoms, the dynasty of India to Memphis," said India Fest organizer Arjun Sardi.

"It will be like a mini India that day," agreed Anupam Lahiri, India Fest.

Organizers describe India as a diverse country of people, food, and religions and it will all be on display in Memphis this weekend.

"We want to bring Indian culture to Memphis," said Sardi.

Activities will include a bazaar, where vendors will be selling everything from Indian jewelry, to clothing, to all kinds of food.

For the kids who show up, there will be all kinds of games, activities, and displays.

Organizers say the Indian population in the Memphis area is right around 10,000 people.

India Fest kicks off Saturday, November 2 at 10 a.m. It will run until 6 p.m. at the Agricenter.
