(WMC-TV) - A Christian concert relocated from Raleigh for safety reasons has changed locations again.

K-LOVE says they will move it back to Raleigh after hearing about changes through Action News 5's initial story.

"We're big time excited. We really are so thankful that K-LOVE would reconsider," said Raleigh Assembly of God pastor Matt Anzivino.

K-LOVE, based in California, moved the concert from Raleigh to First Assembly in Cordova after getting calls from listeners that Raleigh was not safe. Pastor Anzivino heard through the grapevine about the switch, not from K-LOVE. Also, pastor Tom Lindberg did not know the concert was initially planned at Raleigh Assembly.

John Sanders, K-Love's Memphis representative says when the Christian radio station executives saw Action News 5's story they knew they had made a mistake. He says K-Love is fairly new to the concert business.

"K-Love said, 'Man that's not who we are. We want to support those people,' " he said.

The concert, featuring Christian groups like Big Daddy Weave and For King And Country, was a big deal to Raleigh Assembly because the church is trying to bring the declining neighborhood back.

"We want these people to know we support Pastor Matt and his church," said Sanders.

Pastor Matt says he is going to make sure his 1,800 seat auditorium is filled for the concert.
