Uncle fears for nephew's life

Lee County -

(WMC-TV) - The accused poacher who, game wardens said, tried to run over a wildlife officer is still on the run, according to Arkansas officials.

The man's family said they are fearing for his life.

"The kid is out in the woods somewhere, possibly with a bullet hole in him, and they're after him with bloodhounds and all this crap," said uncle Byron Penager.

Family members would like to see this end peacefully.

Originally, a wildlife officer tried to stop the man in Lee County, Arkansas. They said they caught him trying to illegally hunt in the county.

Instead of surrendering, apparently the man tried to run over a game warden with his truck as he was making his escape.
