Raptors beat Grizzlies 103-87 in Rudy Gay's homecoming

MEMPHIS, TN - (WMC-TV) - Rudy Gay scored 23 points (8-18 FG) in his return to FedEx Forum Wednesday night. Gay was traded to the Raptors on January 30 as part of a three-way deal to unload his large contract.

The Grizzlies trailed by six after one quarter, and 11 at half, but climbed back into the game late in the third quarter. With the score tied at 70, Gay and the Raptors took over, outscoring Memphis 33-17 in the final 15 minutes of the game.

Mike Conley had 10 points in the first three minutes of the third quarter, leading all scorers with 29 (12-19 FG). Zach Randolph had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Marc Gasol also had a double-double, with 18 points and 10 points.

The Raptors went to the line 39 times, making 33 free throws. Memphis only hit 11-17 from the line.

Toronto improves to 4-5. Memphis falls to 3-5. The Grizzlies' next game is in Los Angeles as they take on the 4-6 Lakers.
