KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Some Sprint cell phone customers were without service early Thursday morning.

There was a maintenance issue about 5 a.m. that resulted in no service for customers in the Kansas City, St. Louis and Oklahoma City areas.

Sprint says it has identified the problem and is working to restore service. Some Kansas City customers had their service restored after 8 a.m.
