CHARLESTON, MO (KFVS) -

A Charleston man accused of shooting at a father and son on July 4 has been extradited from North Carolina.

According to Charleston DPS, Mark Mowery has been in custody in North Carolina since July. He declined to waive extradition and a Governor's Warrant was obtained to get him back to Missouri.

On November 12, Charleston DPS took custody of Mowery at the Cumberland County Detention Center in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and brought him back to Charleston.

Mark Mowery was being held on a warrant charging him with assault 1st degree, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. There is no bond.

Police say there was an argument over the use of fireworks on July 4 and a gun was fired outside a home in Charleston.

A 39-year-old Charleston man and his 10-year-old son were hurt in the incident.
