Tigers football earns first league win

The last time Memphis and USF met up, it was in 2008, the MagicJack St. Petersburg Bowl.
Now both teams in rebuilding mode with 2-and-6 records, but the Bulls have the upper hand with 2 conference wins under their belts going into Saturday's game.
But the Tigers get their first American Conference win with the 23-3 victory over the Bulls.

Jake Elliott had 2 fieldgoals for the Tigers to get it going, including a school-record 56-yarder that hit the crossbar and bounced over to put Memphis up 6-0 at the half.

Defensive back Bobby McCain had a school record tying 3-interceptions in the game, one he returned 36 yards for the touchdown in the fourth to put the game away for good.  

The Tigers, now 3-6 on the season, have their first winning streak since last year.

Memphis travels to 20th ranked Louisville November 23rd.
