(WMC-TV) - At the beginning of the season, everyone thought the team with the most championships in history— the Boston Celtics— might have the most losses this season.

They lost all their stars, and they have a new coach who wasn't even born when Bill Russell was winning titles.

Memphis took the victory against the Celtics 100 to 93 Wednesday, but with Marc Gasol's knee injury and the way the Grizzlies have been playing— nothing will be an easy will be an easy win for Memphis.

We'll take you to the TD Garden in Boston Wednesday: The Celtics are 6-10 and the Grizz are .500 and looking for their first victory without Gasol. Kosta Koufos continued to show strong in the absence of Big Spain with three block and 13 rebounds.

Mike Conley was on fire throughout the game, mostly on strong drives to the hole through the Celtic defense. Conley missed only one shot in the first period. He ended up 6-14 from the floor, and finished with 14 points, 9 assists, 2 steals, and, most importantly, zero turnovers.

Conley's backcourt mate, Jerry Bayless, was off the bench. Bayless shook off the cobwebs from that cold shooting night against Houston. Bayless came out red hot and baked Boston all over the floor with six of 10 field goals and 9-11 from the line for a team high 22 points.

Ed Davis had three blocks to go along with 11 rebounds and 7 points.

The Grizzlies are now 8-7 on the season. Next game is at home Saturday night against the struggling Brooklyn Nets at FedexForum.
