MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) – Despite Thursday openings at many stores, Black Friday deals are filling shopping center parking lots across the Mid-South. For the first time ever, Wolfchase Galleria was open on Thanksgiving Day.

Deals on TV's sent shoppers at a Virginia Walmart into a frenzy Thanksgiving night.

Officials at Memphis's largest mall report only good behavior, thus far.

Arianne Cousin with Wolfchase Galleria said, "Oh my gosh, phenomenal. I mean, we've got a great crowd here."

Black Friday's been a boom for business, making retailers' holiday wishes come true.

"One store actually sold out of their flat screen TV's within one hour of opening," said Cousin.

For the first time ever, Wolfchase opened on Thanksgiving Day.

Though Black Friday remains the main event for families like this one from Jackson, Tennessee..

Shopper Allen Perry said, "Found a deal on some shirts - Rockawear, stuff like that

Perry's wife found a purse.

Perry said, "nice deal, 50 percent off."

A set of sisters went shopping every day this week, not letting the crowds cramp their style..

Memphis Police report no major problems associated with Black Friday, so far and police, sheriff's deputies, and private security want to keep it that way.
