MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) - Ranked 16th nationally in total defense, the Memphis Tigers came into their final home game of the season licking their chops.

Temple had only won one game this season. The Owls freshman quarterback was sacked three times in their loss last week to UConn.

The game against Temple was the last at Liberty Bowl Stadium for 15 Memphis seniors, including quarterback Jacob Karam, Brandon Hayes, and Tom Hornsey.

The Tigers entered the half down 17-7, and were unable to get over the hump.

Memphis allowed 534 yards of total offense on the day, leading them to a loss with a final score 41-21.
