MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) - Cyber Monday is a busy day for FedEx, as you can probably imagine.

How is the company keeping the millions of Christmas packages its carrying around the world safe during delivery?

"Certainly you don't want to leave those packages out in the open where preying eyes can drive by and steal them," said FedEx spokesperson Bonny Harrison.

The next three Mondays are the three busiest shipping days for FedEx.

As Christmas packages are delivered to your front door, FedEx wants to make sure these packages stay safe.

FedEx has a new online tool called FedEx delivery manager that helps you customize when your packages are delivered and where they are put.

"You can leave specific instructions for the courier. You can sign up to know exactly when your package is going to be arriving or at least within a window of time," said Harrison.

FedEx says with their online delivery manager, you can even give instruction for couriers to leave your packages with a trusted neighbor until you can pick them up.

The company is moving some 22 million packages on Monday alone.

And as the Christmas season gets into full swing, they want to make sure your gifts arrive safely in your hands only.

FedEx says you can also have your Christmas packages delivered to one of their dozens of locations here in the Mid-South to ensure they stay safe until you pick them up.
