Commissioners expected to discuss salaries, special school districts at Monday meeting

SHELBY COUNTY, TN -

(WMC-TV) – A special meeting called on Monday at the Shelby County Commission starts at 1 p.m. Commissioners are expected to talk about salaries and the creation of special school districts.

During that meeting, commissioners are expected to discuss salaries for themselves, the Shelby County mayor, the Shelby County sheriff, and other elected officials. The final approval of salaries will go before the full commission on December 16th.

Action News 5's Justin Hanson will have more on the discussion of what your elected officials are making, today at 4 p.m.

Commissioners are also expected to approve agreements with Bartlett, Millington, and Collierville for the creation of their own special school districts.
