MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) - Thirty people were indicted on drug-related charges following an investigation into a drug trafficking conspiracy.

During the course of the investigation, which intensified in June, MPD's Organized Crime Unit seized more than 70 grams of cocaine, as well as $400,000 in cash.

Ten people are charged with conspiracy to possess with the intent to sell more than 300 grams of cocaine. Twenty other people are charged with buying cocaine for resale.

The two primary targets in the investigation were Kenneth and Keith Bohanon, who were major customers of the Craig Petties cocaine distribution network, according to the Shelby County District Attorney's Office. The Bohanons were "left untouched when the Petties organization was dismantled."

Three of the people charged are confirmed to be gang members, said Assistant District Attorney Paul Hagerman.

The drug trafficking operation has been reportedly operating for several years in the Riverside community.
