TUPELO, MS -

(WMC-TV) – Police have released surveillance video in the deadly bank robbery in North Mississippi where one police officer was killed and another shot.

Tupelo investigators released this video early Tuesday morning and it shows a charcoal-colored sedan, believed to be involved in the crime.

You can see it drive into the BancorpSouth parking lot on Monday, and then it goes out of the camera frame.

Officer 'Gale' Stauffer was shot and killed while pursuing a bank robbery suspect Monday afternoon. A second officer was also hit and is in critical condition.

Investigators also said the suspect could be injured. It is unclear if the suspect had an accomplice in the robbery of BancorpSouth.

Investigators are looking for a black man, approximately 6 foot 3 inches tall. He was wearing a Carhartt hoodie, blue jeans, and a ski mask. They are also searching for a dark gray Dodge Stratus that they believe to be the getaway vehicle.

Investigators say the suspect was possibly driving a rental car that could have sustained damage from gunshots.

A reward of $100,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest in the case.

Stauffer leaves behind a wife and two small children. If you have any information, you are urged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-773-TIPS.
