Freebie Friday: Celebrating 2013 with free events

MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) – With Christmas behind us for another year, most of us are a little nervous to look at our banks accounts, so we're giving you some Freebie Friday specials that will offer free fun and get you out of what is probably a house packed with family.

Tonight, December 27, is Trolley Night along South Main.

This means you ride the trolley free while visiting the eclectic stores that are keeping their doors open late for this monthly event. You can maybe even find some post Christmas deals while there.

The 55th AutoZone Liberty Bowl is Tuesday, December 31.

There are lots of fun free events leading up to kick off between Mississippi State and Rice. On Monday, December 30, the free Beale Street parade will roll down the street at three p.m. and then at five that evening you can head to Handy Park for the Pep Rally.

On New Year's Eve, Beale Street will also be the place to be if you are looking for free entertainment, music, and fireworks.

Those 21 and up can watch the guitar drop with thousands of people from around the Mid-South. This one starts at seven p.m.

Finally, for a free sample of a new water based drink called Aquafina Flavorsplash, you can visit the drink's Facebook page. Go to the "Make it Merry" section and then fill out the address information.
