JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – A well-known Jonesboro entertainer is facing rape allegations from nearly a decade ago.

According to court documents, Paul Eldon Richardson is accused of sexually assaulting a five-year-old boy eight years ago.

The probable cause affidavit states a report was filed at the time but no arrest was made.

The victim, now 13, and his mother reported the incident to the Crimes Against Children division with Arkansas State Police on December 13.

Court documents show the boy had become depressed and told his mother about the incident. ASP says after interviewing him they found his statements credible and arrested Richardson.

While arresting him, police say they found a small baggie containing suspected meth and drug paraphernalia.

He's in the Craighead County jail on a $100,000 bond.

He'll be in court on January 31 to faces the charges against him.

Richardson is a vocalist and pianist in the Jonesboro area.
