MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) - A popular local band is asking for help after their equipment was stolen.

Star & Micey plays at several events across the Mid-South. They posted on their Facebook page that their trailer was broken into early Thursday morning or late Wednesday night.

Three guitars, a telecaster, a Hummingbird and a black Yamaha acoustic along with percussion instruments and guitar stands were all stolen out of the trailer, which was parked on Madison Avenue.

"I'm just hoping that they'll turn up. You know, we're trying to stay optimistic about it even though it's very frustrating. And of course this isn't the way we wanted to start the new year," said band member Geoff Smith.

Anyone should contact the band by messaging them directly through Facebook here.
