SHELBY COUNTY, TN -

(WMC-TV) - The Shelby County Sheriff's deputies responded to a barricade situation Friday in the 7100 block of Amberly Way Drive in Cordova, which is off of Raleigh-LaGrange Road.

Officials say that a suspect kept called 911 incoherently early Friday afternoon. When deputies arrived, a man opened the door with a gun. The SWAT Team was called in as well as negotiators.

The area has since been cleared after the drive was shut down for several hours.

Clyde Mosby, 63, barricaded himself inside the home.

"He had a breakdown, called the sheriff's department, and several other emergency personnel, ranting, and raving," said assistant chief deputy Mark Dunbar.

Mosby was detained for emergency commitment. No one else was inside the home.
