COOKEVILLE, TN -

(WMC-TV) – Two more Tennesseans have died from the flu. Both people died in Cookeville, and a few more people at the same hospital are on ventilators in critical condition.

Doctors say they don't know why that city is seeing the worst of it.

They say hard hit regions vary from year to year, but the one thing they do know is that the flu is getting worse.

The flu does not only strike infants and older adults; the most recent victims were 36 and 39 years old.

In Memphis, doctors say they're treating nearly 100 children for the flu every day.
