Elderly man robbed leaving ATM

HENRYVILLE, IN (WAVE) – An elderly man was robbed after using an ATM and police are asking for help to identify the two men responsible.

According to Indian State Police, on Friday, January 3, at 6:30 a.m.  the man used the ATM at the New Washington Bank, located on Main Street.

As the man was walking away two men approached him, pointed a gun at him and demanded the money he withdrew.

The man gave them the money and the two robbers got into a black SUV and fled the scene.

Police described one of the suspects as being between 5'10 and 6'1'' tall with a close cut beard and mustache. Officers said he was wearing a backward black baseball cap, a gray hooded sweatshirt or jacket with a dark shirt.

The second suspect, which officers said was armed, was described as being between 5'10 and 6'1'' tall. Officers said he was wearing a tan baseball cap, Carhart style bib overalls with a black crew neck shirt and work boots.
