Two separate shootings send 2 men to hospital

MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) – Memphis police are investigating two shootings, which sent two people to the hospital.

Just before midnight on Sunday, someone called police about shots fired in the 3300 block of Briarpark Drive.

Police are only saying that one man was shot and was taken to the MED in non-critical condition.

There is no suspect information for this shooting.

The other shooting happened around 1:30 Monday morning.

Investigators say a man and woman were sitting in a car in the 100 block of South Fenwick. They told Action News 5 that two men came up to the car, one on each side, and shot the man in the car.

He was shot in his leg and the woman was not hurt. Police believe it may have been a robbery.
