Chesterfield apartment complex residents evacuated after fire

CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) -

Residents of a Chesterfield apartment complex were evacuated late Monday night after a trash can caught fire.

The fire broke out around 11:15 p.m., according to Chesterfied Fire Officials. The trash can was located on the third floor of a building at the Market Square Apartments in the 7100 block of Bensley Commons Boulevard.

No one was hurt, and residents were eventually let back into their homes.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
