MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) -Robbery was on the menu at a Memphis Pizza Hut when police say an armed man came in during dinner.

One customer who interrupted the crime was able to call 911.

Fred Fields can still picture the manager of the Hickory Hill Pizza Hut and the gunman who also threatened him during a tense confrontation early Monday evening.

"He was holding her by her neck and had the gun to her head," said Fields. "He pointed the gun at me, to my chest, and told me to get my so and so out of there."

Fields says he knew better than to argue with an armed man.

"While I was running, I called 911 on my phone," said Fields.

Meanwhile, Memphis police say the robber took $346 dollars from the cash register before hitting up the dining room.

One of three other customers who was inside eating says the crook took her money plus tip money from the table.

Employees are not allowed to discuss much, but one said this incident marked the second robbery at the restaurant.

Their information, along with the 911 call, helped police quickly nab 22-year-old suspect LeCarlton Stone of Olive Branch, Miss. along with 19-year-old Tavarius Shipp and 18-year-old Jeffrey Summers.

Police say the pair waited on Stone in the parking lot of a nearby McDonald's restaurant.

"Our young people need to stop this violence. You need to go to school, anything is better than armed robbery," said Fields. "I hope, at least, this is a lesson for them."

One victim said she no longer feels safe even going out for pizza.

All three suspects were still being held as of Tuesday night on bonds from $50 to $150,000. Action News 5 was unable to reach someone in Pizza Hut's corporate office.
