National Civil Rights Museum to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) – The National Civil Rights Museum will celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Junior. The theme for 2014: Peace, Love and Freedom.

Monday's activities will include musical and dramatic performances featured on the main stage.

Plus, a recently discovered interview recording of Dr. King will be played in the museum's courtyard throughout the day.

A children's activities tent will include arts, crafts and storytelling to teach more about Dr. King.

There will also be a social media tent with prize giveaways will highlight the museum's renovation and grand re-opening events, which is now scheduled for April 4th. Read more about the museum's renovation here.

The museum's MLK Day events kick off Monday morning at 8.
