(WMC-TV) - After opening American Athletic Conference play with 5 straight games against teams lately from the old Big East, the 23rd Ranked Memphis Tigers host a familiar Foe from their former home in Conference USA.
The Houston Cougars roll into FedExForum trying to add to Memphis' Home Court lapses in the American, but the 23 ranked Tigers jumped out to an early lead and finished off the Cougars 82-59.
Shaq Goodwin had 20 points, Joe Jackson added 18 points and seven assists.
Memphis never trailed and led by 17 in the first half of their fourth win in five games.
TaShawn Thomas led Houston with 14 points for the Cougars, who shot 42.6 percent but committed 18 turnovers.
