TEXARKANA, AR (KSLA) -

An early morning house fire claimed the life of a Texarkana, Arkansas man.

Firefighters were called to a home in the 600 block of Charles Street around 1:30 a.m. Saturday.  

When the first units arrived on the scene, the home was totally engulfed in flames.  Firefighters were advised that someone was inside the burning home.  They went inside and located a 59-year-old man in a front room of the house.

The victim's name has been released pending notification of his family.

Fire investigators were at the scene for more than 3 hours.  

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
