(WMC-TV) – "Wicked," the musical has been on Broadway for ten years. It is the winner of 50 major awards including a Grammy and three Tony Awards and Memphians will now get another chance to see it performed at the Orpheum Theater.

The crew has just pulled into Memphis ready to start the production's third Memphis run in the last decade.

Tickets for Wicked are on sale and the crew is busy loading into the Orpheum.

"From stage to costumes props lights sound, it's all in those trucks," said Company manager Ryan Lympus.

For the next two and a half weeks Memphis will be their home base. With 24 performances ahead of the crew, they made sure get some authentic Memphis comfort food within minutes arriving.

"The first thing we did was go to the Blues City Café and have some ribs, that's what we did last night." Lympus said. "It was awesome."

"Wicked" is the story of the witches of Oz. A story of friendship, not judging a book by its cover and one the entire family can enjoy. It takes 30 full-time crew members and 100 Memphians hired-on to get the show ready, including an actress from Memphis.

"Natalie Fotopoulos is her name, and she's in the ensemble so you'll get to see her performing in the show each night," said Lympus.

There's also the chance to get discounted tickets. A lottery will be held two and a half hours before each performance.

People who show up at the theater can put their name in a lottery for a number of $25 tickets, which normally run from $45 to $150 each.

"Wicked" starts its run at the Orpheum begins Wednesday night at 7:30 and there are plenty of opportunities to catch the production before it heads to Austin, Texas.

The final Memphis performance is Sunday, February 16.
