MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) – Gunmen opened fire in a Memphis neighborhood in the presence of police Thursday night just before 11 in the 700 block of Ledbetter Avenue.

Witnesses say the shooting happened as part of an ongoing feud between neighbors. Neighbors who spoke with Action News 5 were so frightened they refused to go on camera.

A Chevy Malibu was caught in the crossfire of Thursday night's shooting where the bullets shattered the windows.

As officers were investigating and collecting evidence, the gunmen opened fire again.

Witnesses say the shooters were lying in the back of a pickup truck and firing from the opposite end of the street.

They say everybody outside dropped to the ground for cover, police included. Neighbors say this has been an ongoing problem and they've complained to police about it before.

No one was injured and police have not said if anyone has been arrested.
