SHEPHERDSVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Shepherdsville police are actively seeking a man who they say made threats toward a school district employee on Tuesday and should be considered dangerous.

Officers are urging the public to be on the lookout for 43-year-old Randall Carman. He is believed to be driving a black and silver 1995 Ford F150 pickup truck with a "Hee Haw" decal on the front windshield and KY license plate number 052-NZS.

"Bullitt Alternative Center (BAC) received a series of threatening phone calls from a single individual directed toward a specific staff member," Eric Farris, an attorney representing the Bullitt County Schools said in a written statement. "The threatening calls were personal in nature and were not related to the school or events in the school."

Farris and Shepherdsville police said the threats were the apparent result of a domestic dispute and were not directed toward BAC or any students.

"At no time did any events ever occur on campus, and no students were ever in danger," Farris said.

The school campus and the adjacent Bullitt Central High School and Bullitt County Area Technical Center were placed on "soft lockdown" during the investigation. Farris said a soft lockdown means that instructors continue to teach in classrooms, but doors are closed and locked and no visitors are allowed to enter or leave the buildings. Students were dismissed as normal on Tuesday. Farris said appropriate security measures are in place.

According to police, Carman is known to frequent Bullitt and Henry Counties and has family in Henry County.

Multiple warrants and an emergency protective order have been issued against him.

Anyone with information on Carman's whereabouts should call the Shepherdsville Police Department at 502-543-7074.
