Trade deadline passes, Grizzlies hold tight

(WMC-TV) - If you were holding your breath on that proposed Memphis Grizzlies Trade of Tony Allen and Tayshaun Prince to the Timberwolves ... you can exhale now.

The NBA Trade deadline has come and gone, and both are still in Beale Street Blue.

Both Prince and Allen were mentioned in a Yahoo Sports report on a proposed trade to Minnesota..

The Twolves wanting improved Defense.

The Grizzlies looking at getting off Prince' Contract, which will pay him $7.7 Million next season.

Prince has only been traded once in his 11 year career.. That was to Memphis.

The Grindfather says trade talk is all part of being a professional, but it's the first time he's been part of the rumors.

Also, Allen has been a full participant in practice the last 2 days, and says he plans to play Friday against the Clippers at FedExForum.

Allen WILL wear a brace on his injured left wrist.
