Police say shooting may be a case of mistaken identity

MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) – A man was shot late Thursday night in what Memphis investigators say may be a case of mistaken identity.

Action News 5 was at the Eden at Watersedge apartment complex in the 2700 block of South Mendenhall Road as first responders helped the victim out of his apartment.

Investigators believe he was shot by someone who was looking for someone else.

The victim is expected to make a full recovery, but the shooter is still on the loose.
