2 charged with aiding escape of Crockett Co. inmates

ALAMO, Tenn. (AP) - Authorities in West Tennessee have charged two people with helping two inmates in their recent escape from the Crockett County Jail.

Aaron Stewart and Stacy Bivens, both of Friendship, were arraigned yesterday on charges of criminal responsibility in the Friday escapes of Antonio Reed and Eugene Spivey.

Crockett County investigator Robert Howell says Bivins is Reed's girlfriend, but he wouldn't say how she and Stewart aided in the escape.

Reed surrendered Monday morning after police tracked him to a Jackson motel. Spivey was found in Lauderdale county Monday night.
