Friends and family remember Shindri Roberson

Updated:

Action News 5 learned more Thursday about the victims in the Lester Street Massacre.

A close friend of Shindri Roberson, Constance Carter, was one of the last people to see her alive.

Carter, her children, and friend added a stuffed animal to the Lester Street memorial.

"I just wanted to come and show my sympathy and my love for my friend," Carter said.

Shindri "Moosey" Roberson was the godmother of Carter's children.

Carter was with Roberson over the weekend.

"She was normal, acting normal.  You know we all peaceful," Carter said.

Carter said she can't imagine what went on in the house to lead to a massacre that included her friend.

"The last time I saw her was Saturday night.  You know, we all went out," Carter said.

She said it was about 6pm.

"The last person she was with or something like that, the person that she left with, you know, went to meet up with, that's the person, one of the men that was supposed to have been...died," Carter said.

She was talking about Hollis Seals, also found dead at 722 Lester.

Carter said Roberson was dating him.

"All I know is they were supposed to have been going, you know, riding off or something like that.  I don't know where they were going.  They could have went out to eat, or anything.  I'm not sure," Carter said.

She said Roberson did not even live in the neighborhood where the murders happened.

Carter said she did not know the other two men, woman, and five children in the house, but she is mourning for them all.

She described Roberson as a good person who helped her and her children in times of need

Friends said too much emphasis is being placed on Roberson's prostitution and drug possession history.

They said the focus needs to be placed on finding who killed her and five others.
