A Memphis SWAT team surrounded Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center Friday after an apparent disturbance at the hospital.

Police were at the hospital for hours Friday, leaving just after 3:00 p.m.

Action News 5 is still attempting to confirm with police whether their presence at the hospital was related to a breach in the security and protection of the three surviving victims of the murders discovered Monday in a home on Lester Street.

In a written statement Friday, a Le Bonheur spokesperson said, "The three children who were victims of the Lester Street incident remain in protective custody at Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center. With the Memphis Police Department, we continue to ensure that these children are never alone and are receiving the care they need. The security of our patients is our top priority, today and every day."

The hospital is not authorized to release any information about the medical conditions of any of the three children being treated there.

The children remain hospitalized under a protective custody order that was issued by the Memphis Police Department.
