Chad also holds the rank of Captain with the Charleston County Rescue Squad, where he donates his time away from the television station to help keep the citizens and visitors of Charleston County safe.   • Chasing tornadoes across the southeast during severe weather season and covering numerous tropical storms and hurricanes from the Gulf Coast to the Atlantic Coast during hurricane season.
